BREAKING: OFAB Steps Aside from Oyo South Contest, Throws Weight Behind “Eruobo”.
A leading Oyo South Senatorial Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), come 2023, and Asiwaju of Ibarapa land, Honourable Olawuyi Folarin Alao popularly known as “OFAB” has stepped aside from the race of the senatorial district’s contest and thrown his full weights behind his Kinsman, Doctor Olusola Ayandele a.k.a “Eruobodo”.
OFAB made this known early today during a media chat with one of our correspondents.
Olawuyi Folarin Alao is an illustrious son of Lanlate in Ibarapa East Local Government Area of Oyo State. He is an hero of the people and kind-hearted leader who is selflessly putting smiles on the faces of people, regardless of their religion, region, gender or age. Folarin Alao is a result-driven, dynamic, intelligent, highly motivated and conscientious professional with extensive experience in “Project Management, Market Research and Strategic Insight Delivery”, both in private and public sectors, across the Europe, Africa, and Nigeria in particular.
Asiwaju OFAB is a committed Chieftain of Oyo APC, who immensely canvassed for and extensively supported all APC party’s flag bearers in 2019. He has earlier declared his senatorial ambition as far back as 2018 before Dr Ayandele “Eruobodo” switched from gubernatorial agenda to senatorial project.
While questioned why he stepped aside despite his overwhelming acceptance and political presence across Oyo South, he maintained that he stepped aside based on party’s interests and Ibarapa community developmental agenda.
“I’m stepping aside based on our great party, APC’s interests and Ibarapa community developmental agenda. Also, I’m throwing my weight behind Dr Olusola Ayandele “Eruobo” because he’s the best man for the job, come 2023 and he will definitely make Oyo South proud, if the mandate is given. Yes, without trying to sound immodest, this my magnanimous but humble step is premised on spirit of collectivism and we must all do whatever we can, within the purview of legality, to ensure that Oyo APC remain the viable party to record landslide victory, come 2023, not only in Oyo South but also across the pacesetter state.
“As a pro-humanity thinker, all my pro-people programs, and charity activities of our Foundation will continue unhindered and I remain a committed member of Oyo APC. So, help me God.
This is a magnanimous step premised on spirit of collectivism and sportsmanship
OFAB Foundation’s achievements include but not limited to:
· Distribution of free sanitisers to hospitals and the masses in Oyo State as their contribution to fight against Corona Virus
· Free health care for hundreds of people in Ibadan in March 2020
· Donation of N1.3million education scholarship to selected secondary school students for the next 10years (Since November 2019)
· Annual vocational skill empowerment for over 200 youths in Oyo State across the board. For example, computer applications, cake baking, decoration, painting, football skills and so on.
· Annual donation of OFAB branded exercise books for selected primary schools in Ibadan (on going)
· Construction of borehole (including overhead tank and water pump) in Ibarapa East LG (2017)
· Quarterly financial support for the elderly and widow/widowers
· Grading of a road at Oke Ayo in Ibarapa East LG (2018)
· Payment of school fees for some financially disadvantaged students at National Open University of Nigeria (on going) and many more.
