BREAKING: Omo BAO Declares Intention to Contest Ibadan North Federal Constituency Bye-Election, Submits ‘Letter of Expression’.

Bashorun Abdullahi Adekunle Oladeji Eyitayo, fondly known as Omo BAO, the pioneer chairman of Aare Latosa Local Council Development Area (LCDA) has formally announced his intention to contest in the upcoming Ibadan North Federal Constituency bye-election.

Omo BAO is an illustrious son of Ibadanland and a son of the revered Alhaji (Chief) Bello Adeleke Oladeji(BAO) – a great leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and seasoned educationist.

According to a declaration message issued by his media office, Omo BAO said,”With a deep-seated connection to the cultural and historical fabric of Ibadan, Omo BAO is uniquely positioned to bring his extensive experience and profound understanding of the community’s needs to the federal stage, where he seeks to effectively advocate for the interests of his constituents.

In the declaration statement, Omo BAO extended his heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Hon. (Prince) Musiliu Akinremi, popularly called Jagaban, acknowledging the significant void left by his passing. He emphasized his commitment to serving the people of Ibadan North, underscoring the depth of his experience in public service.

Omo BAO stated,”I extend my deepest condolences to the Akinremi Jagaban dynasty. My years of service in various capacities within our community have equipped me to represent our constituency effectively at the federal level. I am confident that my vision, dedication, and leadership will benefit both our party and our people,” Omo BAO stated.

As a part of his formal declaration, Omo BAO, who previously served as the caretaker chairman and the pioneering Chairman of Latosa LCDA, has submitted his official letter of intent to the All Progressives Congress (APC), signaling the commencement of his campaign. His decision to run is underpinned by a legacy of service, where he has been lauded for his exceptional administrative acumen, dedication to community development, and unwavering commitment to the welfare of the people.

During his tenure as the inaugural Chairman of Latosa LCDA under the administration of His Excellency Abiola Ajimobi, Omo BAO was instrumental in transforming the local government area. His leadership was marked by significant strides in infrastructural development, education, and youth empowerment. His initiatives in enhancing local healthcare services, bolstering community safety, and fostering economic growth have left an indelible mark on Ibadan North LGA.

Omo BAO has received numerous accolades, including the Distinguished Service Award from UNICEF for his contributions to children’s education, the Achievers Award from the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Producers Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) for his impact on arts and culture, and the Meritorious Award as “Efficient Administrator of the Year” by New Moon Communication at Ilaji Resorts and Farm in 2019.
