Byelection: APC’s Wale Olatunji Murphy Shakes Ibadan North As Campaign Trail Moves to Ward 7

The campaign trail of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forthcoming August 16 Ibadan North Federal Constituency byelection, Honourable Wale Olatunji ‘Murphy’ hit Oju-Irin Oke Itunu and Shobande Oremeji (Ward 7), Ibadan, on Tuesday, August 6.

Prior to the commencement of the main campaign, Murphy’s name rented the air as party women across Ibadan North Federal Constituency mobilised to canvass votes for their candidate, which shows that APC and Wale Murphy are widely accepted across the ward and the federal constituency.

While addressing the mammoth gathering, one of the APC aspirants in the contest, Mrs Olaitan Victor, encouraged people to vote for Murphy and APC. He implored all the aggrieved members to sheath their swords and work for the success of the party in the contest.”APC victory in this election is a good omen for the 2027 general election. Please, let’s vote for Hon. Murphy massively come August 16″, she canvassed.

In her remarks, the State Women Leader of the Party, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun, urged the party members and the populace to observe a minute’s silence for the late Prince Musiliu Olaide Akinremi Jagaban.

Adigun encouraged the people of Shobande-Ajegunle to vote for Murphy, and she described the grassroots politician as a replica of Akinremi Jagaban and assured the constituents of pro-people representation.

Adigun noted that the Federal House of Representative Members that were performing excellently in Oyo State are members of Oyo APC.”For instance, Tolulope Sadipe, Remi Oseni, Akin Alabi, and Skimeh, among others. They are incomparable to the PDP federal lawmakers in the state, who are selfish and anti-people in their constituency.

Adigun continued,”APC is a pro-people party. That’s why Akinremi embarked on pro-people representation, and Murphy will perform like Akinremi Jagaban, and as well surpass his record as a tribute to him and ways to make him proud in heaven”, she assured .

APC Zonal Legal Adviser Barr. Wale Majaro urged people to vote for Murphy.”A vote for APC and Murphy is a continuation of the Akinremi legacy. It is a blunder to vote for any other candidates; Murphy is okay”, Majaro emphasised.

In a similar development, the leaders and members of the Oke-Itunu Youths Forum came out to welcome APC and Murphy. The residents narrated what they have been doing in the area to assist the government. It was also recalled that Murphy had purchased electric poles for the Ajegunle-Oremeji area decades ago and he continues supporting the environs and different parts of the federal constituency
