Byelection: Ibadanland Progressive Leaders Forum Hails Olayide Abas Oyo APC-Led Excos, Party Leaders, Urges Support for ‘Wale Murphy

The Ibadanland Progressive Leaders Forum has expressed its commendation for the leadership of Alhaji Laide Abas-led executives of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State following the successful resolution of disputes stemming from the recent primary election of the party in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency. The process which led to the emergence of Hon. Adewale Olatunji (Murphy) as the party’s candidate for this Saturday bye-election.

In a statement, respectively signed by the chairman and secretary of the forum, Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe and Dr. Olukunle Abiola, the forum highlighted the swift action taken by the state chairman, who formed a resolution committee to address the misunderstandings. “The committee, comprised of esteemed members, was chaired by Alhaji Kamorudeen Ajisafe JP, with Otunba Olabamiji Agboola serving as secretary. The forum acknowledged the committee’s substantial efforts in fostering reconciliation among party members.

The forum recognised key contributions from high-ranking officials, including the Honourable Minister of Power, Chief Bayo Adelabu, and Alhaji Fatai Ibikunle. They also lauded the leadership of Senator Sarafadeen Alli, Alhaji Bello Adeleke BAO and others within the Ibadan North Local Government.

While concluding, the Ibadanland Progressive Leaders Forum urged all eligible voters in the Ibadan North Federal Constituency to vote for Hon. Wale Olatunji Murphy of the APC this Saturday, emphasising the need to continue the progressive legacy of the late Hon. Musiliu Akinremi Jagaban. The forum called for unity and support,
