CCII: Okorocha, Adelabu, Egunjobi, Shittu, Olayinka, Balogun, Others in Attendance As Oyo ALGON Chair, Aleshinloye Bags MDII Award Yesterday in Ibadan.

The Central Council of Ibadan Indigenes(CCII) has conferred the “Most Distinguished Ibadan Indigene(MDII)” Award on the Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria(ALGON), Oyo state chapter, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye, yesterday, in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State.

In his acceptance speech, Prince Abass-Aleshinloye paid homage to Olubadan of Ibadan land, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I and the CCII leadership for counting him worthy of the ward.

Prince Aleshinloye spoke further that he has received several awards in the past and none of it can be as valuable as the one coffered on him by his aboriginal hometown, Ibadan and he maintained that, “This award is dedicated to my Leader, late Senator Abiola Ajimobi that gave me the opportunity to serve my people to the point at which I’m honored today.

“Also, I dedicate this award to all my colleagues in the struggles for justice and rule of law. Struggles to save democracy at the grassroot levels and better the lives of our people”, he said.

“Conclusively, I dedicate this award to all good people at the grassroot levels in this state. Those that have been deprived of the opportunity to enjoy governance of theirs. The governance that is closer to them.
I tell them, this time will soon pass”, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye reiterated.

In his own remarks, former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) and All Progressives Congress(APC) 2019 Gubernatorial Candidate, Oloye Bayo Adelabu described the ward conferred on Aleshinloye as a well deserved honour.

The Financial Guru, Adelabu lauded Aleshinloye and stated that, “Congratulations! My Dear Prince. In the caucus of meritorious leaders, you’re an icon. In your core, your legacies are worthy of emulation. In the committee of the Intellect, you stand out. So, you are a round peg in a round hole of a deserving award.

“You’re simple, meek and unique. Your feather of honor deserves another. You have touched lives in ways too numerous to mention. Your atlas of good records cannot be all toured. What more can I say than to applaud your tonnes of good character and moments shared”, he extolled.

“To my main man and a son of the soil that you are and have convinced all and sundry that crossed your path, I salute your honorarium. I beckon on you that your good deeds may not decline, and as such, I pay my allegiance to the special personality i have seen in you. I say, “you deserve it”. Congratulations!”, Oloye Bayo Adelabu rejoiced.

The awardees are former Imo State Governor, Chief Rochas Okorocha, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ibadan, Prof. Idowu Olayinka, Senator representing Oyo South, Senator Kola Balogun and others.

In attendance were Hon. Samuel Egunjobi, Barr. Bayo Shittu, Alhaji Wale Sanusi, Bashorun Kunle Oladeji(OMOBAO), Hon. Wale Murphy, Hon.Olayemi Ariba, Hon. Abayomi, Hon. Adeniyi Adesokan, Hon.
