Dr Yunus Akintunde, the distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District Senator, has described the passage of Chief Isaac Omodewu’s death as shocking and devastating.

“I worked closely with Chief Isaac Omodewu as a colleague while we both served as cabinet members of Senator Ajimobi’s administration in Oyo State during his first tenure as the Governor of Oyo State. Since then we have established a very cordial relationship beyond political engagements”.

“I recollect several discussions and prayers for him on his health condition since his relocation to America for proper medical care while I was in the Holy land, but it pleased Allah the giver of life to call him home at this period”.

“His passage at this critical moment is quite shocking and I am in deep sorrow but will take solace in the quality of life that was full of accomplishment and good deeds of the departed”.

“I pray that Almighty Allah will grant him Aljannah Fridaus, strengthen his immediate family members, his friends and associates, and all of us to bear the heavy loss of his passage into eternity”.

“It’ is a great moment of personal loss to me and the rest of us his close political associates and leadership within Oyo State political family.”
