As people of Oyo North Senatorial District joined the world to celebrate Children’s Day 2025 today, an appeal has gone to parents to take the education and safety of their children very seriously for a better tomorrow.

The senator representing the good people of Oyo North, Dr Buhari Abdulfatai, gave this admonition in his message to the children in the district as they joined their colleagues in celebrating their day for the year 2025.

While he described children as the future of individuals that should be tutored and nurtured to be useful to themselves and their societies, Senator Buhari said they are rare gifts from God to the favoured set of people.

The legislator charged parents to make huge sacrifices through giving adequate attention and care to their children as he pointed out that despite their struggle for economic power, parents should be committed to giving their children enough time and attention so that the best moral values and discipline can be inculcated into them.

While affirming that the best legacy that any parent could give to his or her children is sound and standard education, Senator Buhari reiterated that he will continually be committed to the provision of needed amenities for schools in the Senatorial district.

“Though I have provided numerous Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Centres, e-learning facilities and blocks of classrooms for the use of our children in all local government areas within Oyo North, I will sustain my dedications towards getting the best out of our children so that they can all compete favourably well with their peers from other parts of the world,” Senator Buhari said.

The lawmaker enjoined the children to reciprocate the gestures of not only their parents by being good ambassadors but also the government by making the best and most adequate use of the facilities provided to improve their academic performances in both internal and external examinations.
