Cholera: Southwest Students Set to Begin Awareness Campaign—Alao John
Solidarity greetings to all Nigerian students.
Today, it is imperative for me to address a pressing issue that affects us all: cholera. This waterborne disease has claimed countless lives in our country, and it’s time for us to take action.
As students, we have a unique opportunity to make a difference.
By joining hands together, we can sensitise the general public on the importance of hygiene, clean water, and sanitation.
We must educate our communities on the risks of cholera and how it can be prevented. We must promote handwashing with soap, proper disposal of waste, and the use of clean water sources.
By working together, we can:
- distribute educational materials and flyers;
- organise awareness campaigns and rallies;
- engage with local leaders and healthcare professionals;
- support vaccination efforts and water sanitation projects.
Let us use our collective voice to demand improved access to clean water and sanitation facilities in our various institutions and communities.
Together, we can make a difference. Together, we can stop cholera.
Let us join hands, let us raise our voices, and let us fight against cholera. For a healthier Nigeria, for a brighter future, we can make it happen!
“United for a Cholera-Free Future”.
Signed:
Comrade Alao John,
Southwest Coordinator of NANS.
