CHRISTMAS: Adelabu greets Christians, urges unity, peaceful coexistence

Minister of Power Chief Adebayo Adelabu has greeted Christians across the country as the faithful celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, urging the faithful to use the season as a period of deep reflection, thanksgiving, and prayer for the nation. He described the celebration as a reminder of God’s enduring love and the shared responsibility of citizens to promote peace and unity.

In a Christmas message released to the media through his aide, Comrade Femi Awogboro, Adelabu said the birth of Jesus Christ symbolises hope, sacrifice, and redemption—values he noted remain essential for Nigeria’s progress at a time when unity and patience are required to overcome national challenges.

The minister called on Christians to deliberately dedicate the season to prayers for peace, stability, and national cohesion, stressing that the country’s strength lies in its shared faith and collective resolve to build a better future for coming generations.

He also appealed for continued prayers for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, asking God to grant him wisdom, strength, and divine guidance as he steers the nation on the path of economic recovery and sustainable development, adding that effective leadership thrives under the support of a prayerful and united citizenry.

Adelabu expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and preservation, praying for good health and the grace for Nigerians to witness and celebrate many more Christmas seasons in the land of the living, while wishing Christians a peaceful celebration and a New Year filled with renewed hope, progress, and national renewal.
