Christmas: Be Your Brother’s Keeper, Cheerful Giver — Soji Akanbi Charges Christians.
Senator Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi has charged Christians to be their brothers’ keepers and cheerful givers, to all and sundry.
Senator Akanbi made the call at the 2021 Service of Carols and Nine Lessons organized by NTA Ibadan with the theme ‘He, Our Peace’.
In her welcome address, NTA Ibadan Zonal Director, Engr Omolola Olorode described Senator Akanbi as a man of the people that has taken humanity to another level.
Engr Olorode commends Senator Akanbi’s humility and tolerance for deeming it fit to attend the programme in person and not sending representative.
Okanlomo of Ibadanland stressed the importance of living together in peace, unity and love without playing religious card capable of causing conflict in society and country at large.
He took the cue from Rilwan Adesoji Akanbi Foundation (RAAF) where beneficiaries the foundation under Health Care Programme domiciled at the University College Hospital (UCH) were from different religion background.
Senator Akanbi affirmed his commitment to religious tolerance and wish all Christians Merry Christmas and prosperous New Year ahead.
