CHRISTMAS: Dr Yunus Akintunde Felicitates with Christians, Charges Faithful to Pray for Peace, Unity in Nigeria.
As Christians all over the World set to commemorate this year’s Birth of Lord Jesus Christ, Senatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo Central District, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde has felicitated with Christians in Nigeria. He charged the faithful to continue imbibing culture of peace, unity and harmony in Nigeria.
Dr Akintunde, in his Christmas message to christians, stated that,”Dear my beloved Christian brothers and sisters! On behalf of myself, family and supporters in Oyo Central Senatorial District, and beyond, I joyfully felicitate with you on the occasion of this year Christmas celebration. Merry Christmas to you and us all.
Akintunde noted that,”At a time like this, Nigeria needs peace, unity and harmony, to accomplish the well deserved good governance and effective leadership, stating that,”Nothing was more important than the love and unity experienced in a place where it has long been experienced due to insecurity, resulting to economic woes, and which is caused by the lingering terrorism and banditry.
While acknowledging the steadfastness of the President Muhammad Buhari’s led administration in ensuring that no stone is left unturned by providing Nigerians with quality leadership and robust security coverage, despite the challenges the country is engrossed, Dr Akintunde appealed to Nigerians not to loose hope for a better tomorrow, saying that “tough times do not last but tough people do.
In his words,”Once again,I heartily rejoice with Christian faithful in Oyo Central Senatorial District, Oyo-State and Nigeria at large, as our brothers and sisters mark this year’s Christmas and New Year festivities. It is my earnest prayer that as the faithful celebrate, may God almighty grant them all that their heart desire. May the love and the inspiration of Christmas be yours, now and the whole year through !Amen.
“I also want to beseech my christian brothers and sisters to keep their faith and use this period to pray for the peace, unity and harmony in Nigeria”.He added.
Speaking further, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde disclosed that his representation as Senator representing Oyo central senatorial District if elected would be all inclusive, irrespective, of people’s political, religious and cultural backgrounds, adding that,”Nigeria is one country with one people and everyone should have a fair input on issues bothering good governance. Dr Akintunde submitted.
