Community Development: Prince Akinremi Jagaban Commissions Fully Energised Transformer At Oke-Itunu Area Amidst Applause, Appreciation from Ibadan North Constituents

Member of the House of Representatives representing Ibadan North Federal Constituency, Rt. Hon. Prince Olaide Akinremi, popularly known as Jagaban, has commissioned a fully energised 300KVA transformer, which he facilitated for the Oke-Itunu community within his constituency, on Sunday, January 14, 2024.

This commissioning event took place at the site of the now fully installed transformer within the Oke-Itunu community, with All Progressives Congress (APC) party leaders, stakeholders, and members, along with members of the benefiting community, all present to witness this laudable contribution of their performing Federal Representative to their own community.

Representing Hon. Olaide Akinremi, who was unavoidably absent and an important leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ibadan North, Alhaja Tairat Adeyemi stated that feats like those of Hon. Olaide Akinremi are of immense value to the masses considering the impacts they make on the populace.

She noted that politicians naturally only provide transformers for communities, but that Hon. Olaide Akinremi Jagaban has gone beyond the normal to ensure the energising of transformers from his personal purse, not only in Oke-Itunu but at every other community in Ibadan North where he has provided transformers so far.

Alhaja Tairat Adeyemi admonished the community to adequately protect the fully energised and already working transformer as well as its accessories from theft, while also encouraging residents of Oke-Itunu to ensure its appropriate use to avoid damages.

Other leaders of the APC who were present at the commissioning event include the Oyo State Women Leader of the APC, Alhaja Tinuade Adigun, Alhaji Akibu Animashaun, Leader Lukman Fatoyinbo, Prince Gbadebo, and Alhaji Taofeek Olayiwola, who is the Local Government Chairman of the APC in Ibadan North. Also present were members of the Ibadan North APC local government executives, Ward Chairmen, and members of the party in Ward 7 of Ibadan North.

Chairman of the Oke-Itunu landlord association, Engr. Raphael Adekanhunsi, was full of gratitude to the Ibadan North Federal lawmaker for the facilitated and energised transformer, which has already begun to serve the people of the community. He noted that contrary to many politicians, Hon. Olaide Akinremi has impressed their community by fulfilling the pledge of energising and installing, which is uncommon.

Other Oke-Itunu community leaders who spoke glowingly in appreciation of Hon. Olaide Akinremi’s contribution to their community include the Vice Chairman of the Oke-Itunu community, Mr. Segun Oke, the Secretary, Mr. Yinusa, the PRO, Mr. Opeolu, and other community leaders like Mr. Kayode Alebiowu, among others.
