Member, House of Representatives(MHR) from Oyo Federal Constituency, Hon. Adeyemi Akeem popularly known as Skimeh has mourned late Chief Akin Ojebode who died yesterday. Chief Akin Ojebode was a foremost Awoist and first generation progressive in Oyo State.
“Adieu, Baba Ojebode! After His Imperial Majesty, the Alaafin of Oyo, I hinge my political success on four distinguished personalities from Oyo Federal Constituency, Chief SM Akindele (Atiba), Chief Farinu (Oyo East), Chief Ogundiran (Afijio) and Chief Akin Ojebode (Oyo West). Three of them died few months/years ago. The last of them, Baba Ojebode, died yesterday. What a great loss!”, Adeyemi stated.
” Baba Ojebode, Baba Awa Omo Kekeke, was a great Awoist, Igeist, Lamist and Ajimobiist. I can authoritatively say that Baba was also a Skimehist. In 2015 and 2019, your contributions to my victory are unquantifiable and inestimable. I can never forget your efforts.
” Baba, as you answered the glorious call of your Creator, I pray God bless your soul. May your entire family never be put to shame. May your children always find favours everywhere they go.
