Condolence: Adieu to Oba Adetunji – House of Reps Oyo APC Caucus Chair, Segun Odebunmi Bunvic Pays Tribute to Late Olubadan.

Chairman, House of Representatives’ Committee on Information, National Orientation, Ethics and Values, Honourable Segun Odebunmi, Bunvic, has commiserated with all Ibadan descendants, at home and in diasporas, over the demise of His Imperial Majesty, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I, the Olubadan of Ibadanland, who joined his ancestors early yesterday, Sunday at University College Hospital, UCH, Ibadan.

In his condolence message, Hon. Bunvic stated that,“I received with shock, the passage of our Exemplary Monarch, Oba Saliu Akanmu Adetunji, Ajeogunguniso-I who joined his ancestors, today, Sunday, December 2 and I commiserate with all Ibadan descendants, at home and in diasporas, over the loss. Meanwhile, I celebrate the well led life of our passionate royal father while he was on the throne of his forebears.

“Our late monarch was an icon of peace, progress, unity and development when he was on the throne of his forebears and the ancient city, Ibadanland greatly witnessed unprecedented progress and advancement across all fronts”, he lauded.

Hon. Odebunmi prayed that may God grant the bereaved royal family fortitude to bear the irreparable loss and repose the soul of the late monarch in Al-Janat Firdaus.
