The Association of Local Government of Nigeria (ALGON ) Oyo State, has commiserated with Oyo State , APC and the family of Pa Salau Adelere , who died on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the age of 90.
The association’s chairman ,Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye described late Adelere as an elder statesman who contributed immensely to Nigeria’s development.
In a condolence message signed by the ALGON Chairman, he said the late progressive committed politician would be deeply missed by the country he served to the best of his abilities.
“Pa Salau Adelere was an elder statesman. He was a leader of proven commitment, tenacity and courage in the struggle for a better Nigeria. He served the country to the best of his abilities. He did his best as a lawmaker at the Oyo State House of Assembly between 1979-1983″, Aleshinloye stated .
He described Pa Adelere as a leader who acted his part well while on political stage by resolutely fighting for the unity of the country, he said the late APC leader was a legend whose footsteps will be emulated.
Aleshinloye said the death of Pa Adelere has left a vacuum in the progressives fold while the people of Oke Ogun and Oyo State would also miss his advocacy for good governance, elderly advice and support in years to come.
“Even while we mourn the loss of this outstanding icon, we are also inspired to celebrate his remarkable life and accomplishments” Aleshinloye reiterated .
