Coronavirus : Yoruba Youths Urge Fed Govt to Consider African Traditional Medicine
Supreme Forum of Yoruba Youths (SFYY) has urged the Federal Government of Nigeria to consider the use of African traditional medicine in curative measures of threatening pandemic COVID-19 popularly known as Coronavirus .
The acting global President of the Forum, Comrade Femi Awogboro stated this in a press statement released to journalists in Ibadan today .
He said, “As the world is working all round to get vaccine to contain the spread of coronavirus disease, we are appealing to the Federal Government to consider traditional herbal medicine in this regards”.
Awogboro added; “The use of herbal medicine has great values to curtail the spread of Covid-19 if properly and effectively utilised”.
He maintained that the government should pay rapt pay attention to the need of African medicines as solution to this epidemic disease .
In the spirit of solidarity, camaraderie and humanity, the acting global President of the Forum also prayed for speedy recovery of Governor of Oyo State, Engr Seyi Makinde and others who have been tested positive to the disease.
