After series of public awareness campaign on COVID-19 also known as Corona Virus, distribution of hand sanitizers, face masks, gloves and other related kits, Prince Adeyemi Akeem popularly known as Skimmeh, the former Chairman of Atiba Local Government and two term honourable in the House of Representatives, has distributed foot items and other relief materials to the people of Oyo Federal Constituency.

The activities are captured by Press Statements issued by Prince Adeyemi Akeem himself and pictorial evidences that backed it up.

The statements reads;

COVID-19: OUR HUMANITARIAN EFFORTS

Yesterday, I distributed food items round the four local governments of Oyo Federal Constituency.

As we cannot feed the entire residents of the Constituency; however, we made efforts to reach about ten thousand less privileged among us.

This is sequel to the collective resolve of the 360 members of the Federal House of Representatives to donate their March and April salaries to the cause of fighting corona virus pandemic in Nigeria.

We are doing this in order not to be fighting coronavirus and a virus of hunger deals a devastating blow on our people.

We made a package of food items for distribution among the constituents, especially in areas we feel are worst hit.

This is in addition to our earlier sensitisation campaign, where preventive kits were distributed in some markets across the four local governments of our Constituency.

As you know, we are not resting on oars. More relief materials will still be distributed today. Areas that were not touched yesterday will be covered today.

Also, we are not unaware or unmindful of the implications of social distancing. We will continue sensitising our people, and we will ensure they use hand sanitizers and wash their hands all the time. Thank you and God bless the people of Oyo Federal Constituency.

Prince Adeyemi Akeem (Skimmeh),

Member, House of Representatives,

Oyo Federal Constituency.
