Dapo polled over 27000 votes, one of the highest in the state. He lost with less than 700 votes in the same constituency where the incumbent Governor and the current PDP deputy national chairman come from. He stood against an incumbent Rep. He is truly loved. 12 of the 14 elected federal Reps in Oyo state scored a lesser figure to be returned. Some things are not just meant to be. He has lost nothing. He has a seat in Oyo state political hall of fame already. He will be consequential and relevant in the coming BAT government.

For those who feel or think he did not do enough to win, 2027 will soon be here, they should show courage and throw their hat into the ring. Let’s see if they will do better.
