Demise: Adieu HE, Otunba Alao Akala – ‘Bimbo Kolade Pays Tribute.
Former Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Matters, in Oyo-State, Honourable ‘Bimbo Kolade has paid tribute to late Otunba Adebayo Alao-Akala, former governor of Oyo-State who died yesterday, in Ogbomoso.
This is contained in a condolence message issued by Kolade and made available to newsmen in Ibadan.
The condolence message goes thus,”The news of your sudden passage came to me as a rude shock, to say the least but it also ignited the consciousness of the fact that we all have an UNDATED BUT CERTAIN APPOINTMENT WITH DEATH!!!
Your demise has left a gaping hole that will take a some time to fill. We are glad that you left a remarkable legacy that generations unborn would be able to access.
We will miss you dearly and greatly in the political parlance where you encountered many feats; toiled and won many crowns.
Your contributions are commendable and will linger for a long time; your impact and influence are equally truly cherished inspirations and imprints on the sands of time.
Without a doubt, a vacuum has been created by your passage; consoling however, are the works which you left behind.
I deeply commiserate with the immediate family, the entire people of Ogbomoso, political associates and friends. May the Almighty God of all consolations grant everyone the fortitude to bear this irreparable pain of your exit.
May your gentle and gallant soul rest in peace in the bosom of the Lord!
