Democracy Day: ‘Former Council Vice Chairmen G-68’ Hails President Tinubu, Passes ‘Vote of Confidence’ on Olayide Abas-led Oyo APC Excos

As Nigeria commemorates June 12 Democracy Day, the forum of former local council vice chairmen in Oyo State, elected during the administration of late Governor Abiola Ajimobi, now known as ‘Oyo State Former Vice Chairmen G-68’, has extended warm greetings to all Nigerians at home and in the diasporas.

In a solidarity message jointly signed by the Chairman and Secretary of the forum, Hon. (Chief) Ademola Olawale ‘AGBADEMO’ and Hon. Jacob Akintola, JP, and which was made available to the newsmen today in Ibadan by the G-68’s Publicity Secretary, Hon. Monsuru Akintunde Adeyemo (Socrates), the forum saluted President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what it described as Nigeria’s helmsman visionary leadership.

“We commend President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his unwavering commitment to the Renewed Hope Agenda, aimed at revitalising and repositioning Nigeria.

“As we celebrate June 12 Democracy Day and mark Mr President’s second year in office, we acknowledge his efforts to drive progress and development. His leadership embodies the spirit of democracy, and we look forward to continued growth and prosperity under his administration. Congratulations, Mr President!

While celebrating him as a first-generation progressive politician, unalloyed Awoist and great democrat, Oyo State Former Vice Chairmen G-68 passed a vote of confidence on the Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo-State, Alhaji Moshood Olayide Abas and his executives.

The group lauded Alhaji Olayide Abas as a charismatic leader of all times. “Your Eminence, Sir. We’re proud to be associated with you and your success stories so far. We commend you as a visionary leader and charismatic helmsman of all times.

“You’re tested and trusted. We have confidence in you, and we’re convinced that you will paddle the canoe of Oyo APC to the victorious destination come 2027. So, help us God.” The group submitted.
