Dr Florence Ajimobi’s ABC Foundation Launches Free Breast Cancer Screening for 1,000 Women in Ibadan

The Access to Basic Care (ABC) Foundation has today launched a significant initiative aimed at combating breast cancer by providing free screening for 1,000 women in Ibadan.

Chief (Dr) Florence Ajimobi, the CEO of ABC Foundation and former First Lady of Oyo State, expressed her heartfelt commitment to this cause, underscoring the loss of her beloved daughter to breast cancer as a driving force behind her advocacy. “As women, our health is our strength. “Breast cancer, when detected early, can be treated,” she stated. “This screening offers us the opportunity to understand our health status and take timely action.

Dr Ajimobi, the president of the Sen. Abiola Ajimobi Foundation (SAAF) urged all women to seize this opportunity for early detection, emphasising that it can be lifesaving. “Together, we can build a healthier future for ourselves, our families, and our communities,” she stated..

The initiative marks a crucial step toward raising awareness and providing essential health services to women in the state, reinforcing the importance of early detection in the fight against breast cancer.

The event was graced by distinguished guests, including Mrs Bamidele Dapo-Abiodun, the wife of the Ogun State Governor, alongside Senators Abdulfatai Buhari and Sarafadeen Alli, represented by his wife, and Hon. Remi Oseni, among others.
