Dr Yunus Akintunde, the Influential Statesman that Oyo Central Senatorial District Deserves !! By Mr GRA.
Oyo Central is one of the most important senatorial districts in Southwestern part of Nigeria. It stretches and extends to 3 different zones in Oyo State such as Ibadan which constitutes 5 Local Government areas, namely – Akinyele, Oluyole, Egbeda, Ona-Ara and Lagelu. It covers the whole of Oyo Zone – Atiba, Afijio, Oyo East and Oyo West; While Ogo Oluwa and Surulere constitute part of Oyo Central Senatorial Districts in Ogbomosho Zone.
Agriculture and Industrialization flourish in the Senatorial Districts.The indigenous people of Oyo Central Senatorial Zone are largely farmers who grow a wide range of agricultural goods such as maize, yam, cassava, groundnut, fruit, cocoa and oil palm. One of the great examples of Agricultural Industries in the zone is the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture (IITA). Other notable places in the Districts are Gbagi International Market (the largest Market in Oyo State), Asejire Water Works, Nigeria Airport Authority just to mention but a few.
A Senatorial District which deserves efficient representation that can be championed by a brilliant and intelligent personality whom his experiences in Energy and Environmental development can ignite prosperity to Oyo Central and facilitate what the senatorial district deserves regarding pro people representation and social infrastructure to Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole, we are chanting no other name other than the first Nigerian to bag a Doctorate Degree in Energy and Environment, from the prestigious Premier University, University of Ibadan, and the Senatorial Candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo Central, come 2023 general election, Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde.
Energy is a foundation stone of the modern industrial economy. Energy provides an essential ingredient for almost all human activities, industrial production and transportation. Modern energy services are a powerful engine of economic and social development, and no country has managed to develop much beyond a subsistence economy without ensuring at least minimum access to energy services for a broad section of its population. Nevertheless, it is critical to recognize that what people want are the services that energy provides.
Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintinde as an expert in Energy and Environment will use his wealth of experience in Energy to initiate ideas that will facilitate many substantial developmental projects to Oyo Central Senatorial Zone which will bring about human and capital development, enhance 21st Century Nation building. This will in no small measure positively affect the economy of Oyo State and Nigeria as a whole.
It is high time the people of Oyo Central rally round and support Dr Yunus Abiodun Akintunde, a Statesman with Immense goodwill to represent them in the Red Chamber (Senate) under the platform All Progressives Congress (APC).
