Dream
(Part One)

Dream works as a conceivable idea that spurs one to a greater physical manifestation.
Some dreams are capable of turning things around in a ‘giffy’ while some may take time to mature into actualization.
They always emanate from different ideas put together – either internally generated ideas or externally motivated ideas or a combination of the two. The ideation stage is very crucial and must be held with all sanctity.
However, the way dream comes, it is a beautiful thing and a very good way to engage the mind.
A serene environment can aid the conception of this dream whereas noise can stop it abruptly. Time and experiences may differ but a fully conceived dream will surely come true with persistence.
Such dreams are always dormant until they find expressions; though they may not die with time or challenges. They even speak volumes that cannot be heard, a burning that continues to yearn for an expression.
Every achievement comes with a dream, a self-confidence, assurance, motivation and a resilience. This shows that dreams do not work alone. To get an achievable dream, it must not be an “out of the world” dream or a “building castle in the air” dream. It must be something that is achievable and also relevant to one’s environment, time, life’s expectations and worldview. It can arise from a need, other people’s lives, experience, a suggestion, a hobby, passion or interest; or a demand.
Dreams answer the question of ‘WHAT’ in most cases that is, what must be done, what is needed for that which is to be done and what will be the end result of that which is to be done? Once the idea that is being sprung up has answered the ‘what-question’, the ‘HOW’-question then follows, that is, how to achieve the idea (dream) that has been conceived or imagined. This ‘how’ stage is the stage that takes most of the time because actualization of dreams are hinged upon by external forces like finance, support, the right environment, the know-how and the man-power which may not come readily. Thus, a great height of perseverance is needed.
