Easter: Adelabu Preaches Love, Fosters Unity in Oyo, Nigeria.
As Christian faithful marked the celebration of Easter, the former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Chief Adebayo Adelabu has charged Nigerians to continue to preach love for peaceful co-existence of all Nigerians for the social and economic advancement of the country.
Chief Adelabu in his Easter message sent to Nigerians and made available to journalists by one of his Media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro said Easter is the time to remember the sacrifice made by the Lord Jesus Christ via his crucification and eventual resurrection.
“The occasion of Easter marks the end of the fasting period by Christians, mourning of the crucifiation of Jesus Christ and celebration of his eventual resurrection. Hence, the need for people to spread love and ensure peace at all times. Easter is meant to be a symbol of hope, renewal process and an assurance of a new life”, Adelabu said.
He charged people to continue to pray for the country to overcome its challenges and be a better place to live for us all.
Chief Adebayo Adelabu emphasised the need for people to show love to one another and shun any act that can truncate the peace and progress of the country. He prayed that the lessons of Easter lighten our hearts and blessings of the Lord bestowed in our life always.”Happy Easter Holidays”, he greeted.
