Easter: Imbibe Spirit of Love, Benevolence to Humanity—Sen Akintunde Urges, Felicitates with Christians
Senator Yunus Akintunde, the Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, has enjoined the Christian faithful and others to be committed to the teachings of Christ on love, selflessness, and kindness to humanity.
This is contained in his Easter felicitation message made available to the media through Kunle Olatunji, his Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, while celebrating Easter with Christians.
“It is important for all of us to appreciate the spirit and essence of the celebration of Easter, which symbolises a phase in the life and times of Christ Jesus.”
“We must constantly be reminded that love for humanity, kindness, and benevolence are essential attributes that this period encapsulates, and believers must imbibe those virtues in their relationships with fellow humans at all times.”
“I enjoin our Christian faithful to use this period to reflect on their daily lives and relationships with others.”
“Let us also use this unique period to pray and seek divine guidance and benevolence, especially at this critical period of our progressive inclinations on the national fronts.
“We need to replicate the lifestyle of Christ in love, selflessness, and kindness if we truly desire to make progress collectively as a people.
“I join all Christians and other Nigerians celebrating this memorable and unique period of Easter and pray that the blessings associated shall continue to manifest more of God’s divine grace and benevolence.” He concluded.
