As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, House of Representatives Hopeful, on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), Prince Ayodeji Abass-aleshinloye MDII, has said the celebration can only be complete when the people live righteous life.
In his Easter goodwill message on Saturday, the immediate past Algon chairman in Oyo state, Aleshinloye stated that Easter will be beneficial when there is true repentance.
“We should remember what this season represents. We are all sinners and with the realisation that our sins have been taken away, let us give our life totally to God, be obedient to God’s commandments and His teaching,”.
He emphasised, “a wonderful Easter celebration can only be when you have given your life to God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have all been lifted to the glory of God.”
Aleshinloye called on Nigerians to pray harder for divine intervention in all areas of our national life, and assured that no matter how troubling the present situation is, the resurrection power of the risen Christ could turn around the fortunes of the country if we imbibe the lesson of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
He stressed further that the period was also a time for people to show love to one another, on the rampant kidnapping, abduction and killings by criminals in parts of the country, the issues called for serious concern to every patriot
“Let us remain peaceful, show love, tolerate one another and make sacrifice. That way, we can uphold and advance the legacy of Jesus Christ in our lives, states and the nation at large”, the most distinguished Ibadan Indigene said
