As Christians all over the world celebrate Easter, Member, House of Representatives Hopeful from Ibadan North East and Ibadan Southeast Federal Constituency, Honourable Shakirat Adebola Ibilola Adetunji has greeted Christian faithful on the occasion of this year Easter celebration.
Hon.Adetunji stated that,“We should remember what this season represents. We are all sinners and with the realisation that our sins have been taken away, let us give our life totally to God, be obedient to God’s commandments and His teaching,”.
She emphasised that,“A wonderful Easter celebration can only be when you have given your life to God, by the resurrection of Jesus Christ, we have all been lifted to the glory of God.”
Hon. Adebola called on Nigerians to pray harder for divine intervention in all areas of our national life, and assured that no matter how troubling the present situation is, the resurrection power of the risen Christ could turn around the fortunes of the country if we imbibe the lesson of love, sacrifice and peaceful coexistence.
She stressed further that the period was also a time for people to show love to one another, and pray against the rampant kidnapping, abduction and killings by criminals in some parts of the country. The issues called for serious concern to every patriot.
“Let us remain peaceful, show love, tolerate one another and make sacrifice. That way, we can uphold and advance the legacy of Jesus Christ in our lives.” She concluded.
