Education: Bimbo Adekanmbi Fulfils Promise, Rolls Out Free NECO Forms
Honourable Bimbo Adekanmbi, the former Commissioner for Finance and Budget Planning in Oyo State, in his continuous efforts to fulfil his promises of promoting youth education, has rolled out the 2024 edition of his annual, free National Examinations Council (NECO) forms for external candidates.
All Bimbo Adekanmbi free educational and empowerment programmes, to include this ‘Nov/Dec 2024’ NECO forms for external students, are targeted at supporting vulnerable brilliant students in Ibadanland who have the intent to further their education to the tertiary level but are unable to obtain the forms due to their parent’s financial constraints.
It should be recalled that Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi has, over the years, also been distributing free JAMB forms to prospective students.
Adekanmbi is currently covering the tuition fees of previous beneficiaries of his Annual Scholarship Scheme, who comprise the highest-scoring recipients of each year’s programmes in each local government area, in various institutions of higher learning across the nation. Numerous students have also benefitted from his bursary grants at different academic levels.
In 2019, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi sponsored 100 beneficiaries on the Oyo State Youth Empowerment and Contract Recruitment Programme, the first ever such collaboration with the Technical University (Tech-U). Adekanmbi has also held different skill acquisition programmes, backed with financial empowerment, for thousands of people across the state.
Adekanmbi continues to contribute immensely to societal growth and development in Oyo State. He is known for his love for youth education by preparing them to be future leaders.
The Ibadan-born philanthropist’s youth programmes are targeted at brilliant but indigent as well as financially challenged youths. Adekanmbi’s objective is to build a pool of youth that can face the challenges of the current times and that can positively impact society.
All interested applicants who are Indigenes of any of the 11 local government areas in Ibadanland are to visit Shalomnice Mega Educational Services, Beside Oluwonla Health Centre, Oluwonla Junction, Basorun, Ibadan, with their local government identification document for the Bimbo Adekanmbi’s free NECO GCE forms.
