Education Minister Hails Sen Buhari, Prof Gbadegesin, Calls on Nigerians to Emulate Statesmen’s Selfless Efforts

The Honourable Minister for Education, Dr Maruf Tunji Alausa, has lauded the selfless efforts of Distinguished Senator Buhari AbdulFatai, PhD, and Professor Gbadegesin on the facilitation of the Federal University of Agriculture and Technology, Okeho, in Oyo State, to their senatorial district.
The education minister made this remark on Thursday in Abuja while speaking during the official inauguration of the Governing Council and Principal Officers of the newly established university.
Dr Alausa stated that some distinguished and patriotic Nigerians who prioritise their community development must be commended for such a feat in order to serve as an example for others.

“Let me appreciate some distinguished Nigerians such as Professor Gbadegesin, who is in Maryland and has been an ally of Mr President for more than 50 years, and also Senator Buhari AbdulFatai, who worked tirelessly to see that this university came through. These are a set of Nigerians who value community development more than their personal entitlements.” He stated

Those who were inaugurated include former Senator Yakub Oseni from Kogi State as the Pro Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Prof. Jacob Babayemi as Vice-Chancellor, Mr Amuni Muhammed Olayinka as Registrar, Alhaji (Prince) Kazeem Popoola as Bursar and Dr Adigun Ojo AbdulGaniyu as Librarian.
