Egbeda/Ona-Ara: Constituents to Benefit from Akin Alabi’s Free Eye Testing, Glasses, Surgery Programme

The member representing Egbeda Ona-Ara Federal Constituency, Hon. Akin Alabi, has announced registration for the forthcoming 2025 edition of his ‘Free Eye Testing, Glasses, and Surgery Programme’.

Rep. Akin Alabi hinted that the 2025 edition of the Free Eye Testing, Glasses, and Surgery Program will commence soon.

In a statement shared with journalists by Akin Alabi’s media aide, Hameed Mustapha Ramadan, it was noted that the 2025 edition will be an improvement on previous ones, with a target of five thousand people set to benefit from the free eye testing, glasses, and surgery programme.

Rep. Alabi, who chairs the House Committee on Works, reaffirmed his commitment to community health.“We will soon open registration for the 2025 edition of our Free Eye Testing, Glasses, and Surgery Programme, with a target of 5,000 people,” he shared via his official social media handle on November 4, 2024, emphasising his dedication to accessible healthcare services.

Hon. Akin Alabi reiterated his commitment to serving his constituents by addressing their critical health needs.“My commitment provides a lifeline to those with vision challenges, addressing critical health needs and instilling hope in our community,” Alabi stated.

Since its inception, Rep. Alabi’s Free Eye Testing, Glasses, and Surgery Programme has been a cornerstone of his healthcare outreach, offering free comprehensive eye examinations, prescription of glasses, and corrective surgeries to those in need. The programme has restored vision and improved the quality of life for countless individuals, especially those lacking resources for regular eye care.

Akin Alabi expressed his enthusiasm for expanding the programme in 2025. “This programme has brought hope to many, and I am excited to announce our goal to make an even greater impact this year. Registration will soon open for 5,000 individuals needing eye care, part of my commitment to improving quality of life through accessible health services,” he stated.
