Eid-el-Adha: Chief (Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan Felicitates with Muslims in Oyo-State, Nigeria • Ex-HoS Urges Prayers in Support of Tinubu, National Cohesion.

Former Head of Service(HoS), in Oyo-State, Chief(Mrs) Hannah Ogunesan(MFR) has felicitated with Muslim faithful in Oke-Ogun region of the state, Nigeria and across the world on the celebration of this year Eid-el-Adha festival.

In an Eid-el-Adha message issued by Chief(Mrs) Ogunesan and made available to newsmen, in Ibadan, by one of Ex-HoS’ political aides, who also doubled as the immediate past Vice Chairman of ATISBO Local Government, Honourable David Ogunwale, the Influential political Chieftainess stated that,” On behalf of myself, family, and friends, at home and in diasporas, I felicitate with our Muslim brothers and sisters on the observance and celebration of this year Eid-el-Adha festival. May we witness many more of it on the surface of earth, in good health and abundant wealth. Amin.

Ogunesan charged,”Let’s use this period to remember the sacrifice made by prophet Ibrahim (AS) to sacrifice his son as a test of his faith in God. It is a time for sober reflection, sacrifice, and charity. This festival is a reminder that sacrifice and unconditional love are the cornerstones of our people’s faiths. Let’s prioritise love, please.

“As we join our Muslim brothers and sisters in celebration of Eid-el-Adha, let us remember that love, unity, thoughtfulness and togetherness are not limited to one particular faith or culture. We need to work together to create a world where people are valued and respected. Please, let’s emphasise religious harmony and peaceful coexistence.

Ogunesan used the opportunity to charge people to be more empathetic, generous and charitable.”Let’s extend a helping hand to people around, and let’s promote compassion, kindness and humanitarianism. Godliness is humanity and humanity is godliness.

“Also, let’s always remember that the spirit of Eid-el-Adha is not just about personal sacrifice but also, it is about reaching out to people, especially, those in needs and making a positive impact on their lives.

According to the 2023 Oyo-State House of  Assembly Standardbearer from ATISBO/Saki East State Constituency, Hon. Ogunwale, Chief(Mrs) Ogunesan used the avenue to urge prayers for Nigeria’s President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and all Nigerian leaders.

She continued,”Let’s all pray for, and work towards attaining a genuine national cohesion, by supporting our leaders, the government, and other stakeholders. We need to promote tolerance, unity, non-violence, peace, and stability. Yes, as citizens, we all have a responsibility to sustain peace, and reasonable voices should advocate for moderation and sensitivity in speech and action.

Ogunesan prayed for all Muslims, both late and living, ranging from former Governor of Oyo-State, Senator Ishaq Ajimobi.”May God repose the soul of my amiable leader and a seasoned administrator of all times, Sen. Ishaq Abiola Ajimobi. I also pray for my mother and our matriarch, Chief(Mrs) Florence Ajimobi for sustaining the legacy of our leader, even, after his demise and I pray that may God grant Her Excellency longevity and prosperity to do more, to serve humanity more and glorify Him.

“Specifically, I greet Chief Iman of Saki Land, Chief Imam of Ibadan Land, Chief Imam of Ogbomoso Land, Olubadan of Ibadan Land, Alhaji Muhyideen Bello, all other eminent Muslim leaders, and all faithful, at home and across the world. Once again, may all our sincere prayers be answered and may we be blessed, always. Barka De Sallah – Aku Odun Ooo.” Ogunesan said.
