Eid-el-Fitr: Aleshinloye Urges Muslims to Imbibe Ramadan’s Lessons.

As Nigerian Muslims join their counterparts all over the world to celebrate Eid-el-Fitri, the immediate past ALGON chairman in Oyo State, Prince Ayodeji Abass-Aleshinloye (MDII), has urged Muslim ummah to carry on with the principles and teachings of the holy month of Ramadan which are perseverance, sacrifice, love, peace, kindness, compassion and peaceful co-existence.

In a Eid-el-Fitri message made available to journalists, on Thursday, Abass-Aleshinloye congratulated Muslims for the successful completion of  Ramadan.

“It is only when the principles of the season are sustained beyond Ramadan that the fasting period can be given its true meaning.

“During Ramadan, which is one of the important pillars of Islam,we were obliged to fast, shun evil actions, speak right and show love to one another.

“Above all,we should not draw back in our devotion to Allah, which is the ultimate of our faith,”he said.

The former chairman oluyole local government urged Muslims in the country to use the celebration of Eid-el-Fitri to reflect on their spiritual life as individuals and how they can contribute more meaningfully towards the unity and progress of Nigeria.

He stressed that without the virtues of brotherly love, accommodation and sacrificial giving, religion would make no meaning and peace would be elusive in the society.

The ex-ALGON boss prayed that may the Almighty Allah to  intervene in the affairs of Nigeria, given the many challenges facing the country, and wished the  muslim communities a happy Eid-el-Fitri celebration.
