Eid El Fitri: Adelabu Visits Ancestral Ward, Meets Elders, Imams, Donates N1.3Million for Renovation Neighborhood Mosques.

Governorship Candidate of All Progressives Congress, during 2019 General Election, in Oyo state, Chief Adebayo Adelabu, as part of Eid-El-Fitri celebration has visited his ancestral home and three neighborhood mosques at Ward 9, Ibadan South East Local Government Area of the state.

According to one of his media Aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, the visit enabled his principal to join the mosques in special prayers to mark the end of Ramadan and also provided him an avenue to meet with his kinsmen and rob minds with Elders, Imams and Islamic scholars in their respective mosques.

“After a successful completion of Ramadan fast, the celebration of Eid li fitri became necessary to thank Allah for the gift of life. And the best way to do this is to join my people at the grassroot to identify with them and extend some hands of philanthropy during the celebration”, Adelabu said.

“At Adebiopon and Adeniyi Mosques, we donated N500k each while N250k thousand was presented to Oluokun Mosque for development of the Mosques under Oke Odo/Oke Oluokun neighborhood in Ibadan”, he added.

Earlier at the beginning and during the fasting period, food items have been delivered and shared to people in his ward to support them during the fasting period.

Chief Adelabu charged Muslims to continue to live in peace and remember Nigeria in their prayers for the socio-economic advancement of the country.

He also paid homage to his ancestral home where prayers were offered for departed souls in Adegoke Adelabu family and peaceful co-existence of residents in his ward 9 area of the Ibadan South East Local Government and the entire state.

The Former Deputy Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN), Chief Adebayo Adelabu, also, wished Muslim Ummah a fruitful Eid -el fitri celebration.

In his response, the Chief Imam of Oke Oluokun Mosque Alhaji Hamidu Sanusi Oluokun appreciated Chief Adelabu for the kind gesture and for always remembering the three major mosques at Oke Odo.

Imam Oluokun enjoined Chief Adelabu remain steadfast in his philanthropic gestures inherited from his grandfather, Late Alhaji Adegoke Adelabu.

Chief Adebayo Adelabu was accompanied by Senior Chief Wasiu Ajimobi, Lagunna Olubadan, his elder brother, Adeyinka Adelabu, Council Chairmen including Akinyele South LCDA Hon Olumide Alli, Hon M O Lawal Lagelu LG, Ibadan South LCDA Hon Kayode Fagunwa, Hon Biliaminu Ogundele Ona Ara LG, Hon Yinka Adeyemi Ajorosun LCDA, Hon Sodeeq Akintunde Egbeda LG, Hon Adesokan Akorede LCDA, Hon Taofeek Arowomole Lagelu North among several others..
