Eid-el-Fitri: Senator Akintunde Felicitates Muslims, Calls for Sustained Virtues
The Distinguished Senator representing Oyo Central Senatorial District, Dr Yunus Akintunde has sent congratulatory message to all Muslims on the occasion this year’s Eid-el-Fitri marking the end of Ramadan fasting period.
In a release made available to the press through Kunle Olatunji, Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to Senator Akintunde, he further enjoined all Muslims to sustain the spirit of piety beyond the period of fasting as a normal way of life.
“I rejoice with all Muslim ummah on the completion of the Ramadan fast and pray that Almighty Allaah will accept the prayers and supplications as sincere act of worship during the period and beyond”.
“I will like to encourage all of us to continue sustaining our peaceful coexistence, tolerance and attitude of piety exhibited during the fasting as stated in the Qur’an and admonished by noble Prophet Muhammad (S A.W).
“Let us also use this period to pray for our nation and leadership for divine wisdom and strength, protection and growth in all ramifications of life for all and sundry”.
