Eid El Kabir : Adelabu Felicitates With Muslims , Urges Prayers for Nigeria
The 2019 Governorship Candidate of All Progressive Congress, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has felicitated with Muslim faithful across the state on the occasion of Eid El Kabir which falls on the 10th Day of Dhul Hijah, the Muslim lunar calendar.
Chief Adelabu in his Eid El Kabir Message made available to journalists by one of his media aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro enjoined all Muslims to continue to pray for the nation to overcome her various challenges.
The Former CBN deputy governor said there is need to give thanks to God for witnessing another Eid El Kabir despite the socio-economic hardship presently being faced by Nigerians due to Covid-19 pandemic.
“This year Eid El Kabir is historic because Muslim faithful will now celebrate the Ileya festival moderately by observing all the Covid-19 protocols. As we celebrate, we must observe all public health measures recommended by the authorities such as wearing facemasks, social distancing and avoidance of large gatherings. We do this not for ourselves but for the benefit of all”, Adelabu said.
He also prayed for a better future, one free of all forms of pestilence and ills.
Chief Adelabu therefore implored Muslims all over the state to imbibe the lessons in Eid El Kabir and contribute their quota towards the development and progress of Oyo state and Nigeria at large.
