Eid El Kabir: NCC Boss, Prof Adeolu Akande Felicitates With Muslims, Donates Gifts to Less Privileged.

Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, Professor Adeolu Akande has felicitated with Muslim faithful on the occasion of this year Eid El Kabir festival.


Professor Akande in a congratulatory message issued in Ibadan, admonished Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of the festival which are faithfulness, perseverance, love and dedication to God among others.


He appealed to all Muslim faithful to use this festive occasion to pray for the peace and stability of the country.


“I urge all Muslims to continue to live in peace with people of other religions and shun all acts that are capable of undermining the oneness of Nigeria. It is only in an atmosphere of peace and love that we can progress as a people”, Professor Akande stressed.


While congratulating President Muhammadu Buhari on this year Eid El Adha, the NCC boss called on all leaders at various levels of governance to complement the President’s effort in the provision of amenities that will lead to poverty reduction, economic growth and employment generation.


According to him, “I enjoin all leaders at various levels of governance to assist the President. We all have a sacred, a responsibility to keep to our promises to the people. We cannot afford to let them down”.


Meanwhile, Professor Adeolu Akande has donated a big ram and food items for children of the juvenile/correctional centre in Ibadan.


Professor Akande said the gesture was to put smiles on the faces of the less privileged children in the society as we celebrate the festival.


He noted that the donation was meant to call the attention of all well meaning Nigerians to the plight of the poor in the society.


“Since our last visit to the centre, I have made a commitment to always identify with this category of children who are not as lucky as their pairs who come from rich homes”, he stated.
