Eid-el-Mawlud: Dr Yunus Akintunde Felicitates with Muslims, Sues for Peace.

As Muslim faithful across the World observe the Eid-el-Mawlud festivity, the All Progressives Congress (APC) Candidate in Oyo Central Senatorial District, come 2023, Honourable (Dr) Yunus Abiodun Akintunde has felicitated with Muslims in Nigeria. He urged prayer for Nigeria as the nation approaches 2023 general elections.”Let’s, fervently, pray for the peace and unity as our country coasts to the 2023 General Elections.

Dr Akintunde, in his Maulud Nabbiy goodwill message, encouraged Muslim faithful in the country to continue towing the path of truth, love and harmony as taught in the Holy Quran and by Prophet Mohammed, saying that the only way Nigeria could surpass her current challenges was through prayers.”The only way Nigeria could surpass her current challenges was through prayers and, as such, all citizens of the country should use this festive period to revisit their faith, irrespective of our religious inclinations, as it has become pertinent for the country to achieve peace and tranquility.

While addressing the issue of insecurity in the country, Hon Akintude lauded the security agencies for their frantic efforts and fruitful operations.”I salute all our men in uniforms, mostly, the military, for their gallantry, and I, humbly, appeal to the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari to continually invest in the security apparatus of the country.” He asserted that security of lives and properties remains number one priority of every government and Nigeria must not be left out.

“I want to sincerely felicitate with my Muslim brothers and sisters around the world as we mark the Eid-el-Mawlud festivity. It has become pertinent that we all must use this timeout to ask Allah, on the honour of Prophet Mohammed, to keep us safe, strong and healthy and most most importantly, we must remain binded together in peace, unity and harmony as a people who truly understand the importance of good governance and how it can only be achieved when there is peace among people irrespective of our religious, cultural and tribal backgrounds.

“Nigeria is a country that is naturally blessed with natural resources which the government of the day is utilizing for the benefit of all. We must remain united for more fruitful achievements to be made”. He said.

Akintunde, continued by urging all Muslim faithful to be their brothers’ keepers, stating that the first priority of every believer is to be faithful and reliable to their loved ones, and Muslims must remain united to achieve a common goal which is to use this moment to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria.

Akintunde noted that Nigeria was yet to experience the best in terms of human capital developments. He beseeched citizens to keep their hope alive and he maintained that “better days which are ahead”.
