“Ekiti 2022”: Let’s Meet Engineering Luminary and Guber Hopeful, Kayode Olubunmi Ojo.

Engr Kayode Olubunmi Ojo was born on August 1, 1970 into the aristocratic family of high Chief (Dr) Joshua Akanbi Ojo, Eisaba of Ikoro Ekiti, of blessed memory.

He therefore, hails from Ikoro Ekiti, In Ijero Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Nigeria.

Young Kayode Ojo attended Government College, Ibadan and Federal Government College, Idoani. He graduated with a Metallurgical and Materials Engineering Degree in July 1991 from the Federal University of Technology of Akure(FUTA) with Honours.

He is a professional member of the Nigeria Institute of Engineers. Also, he is a member of the Nigeria Association of Corrosion Engineers, and he is COREN Certified.

Engr. Kayode Olubunmi Ojo is the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of SALTA Infrastructure and Construction Co. Limited. As the CEO of SALTA, he grew the company from zero to an enviable multi- billion naira Infrastructure and Construction Company in less than five years with the Company executing major acquisitions of companies in the United States, Trinidad, and Tobago as well as in the UAE.

Engr. Kayode Olubunmi Ojo is a people’s person and he enjoys working with people. He is also a founding partner of Atlas International Engineering Services (Nig) Limited, a company he servers as the Executive Director, Business and Technical Development under his watch, Atlas stood as one of the major Indigenous Engineering Oil and Gas companies with Multimillion-dollar project brief with International Oil and Gas Companies.

Over the past 26 years, he has served in numerous capacities for various Oil and Gas Companies in Nigeria and the USA.

President and Owner of Riserclad International Inc, ( Part of SALTA Group) Baton Rouge, Louisiana and Houston, Texas, USA and Atlas International Consulting Inc, Houston, Texas, USA.

He also serves as a Non-Executive Director of Cogent Energy SA, Geneva, Switzerland as well and Executive Director of Atlas Technical Services Ltd, a Technical Manpower Supplier to the Oil and Gas as well as other Energy Production Companies. Through his foresight using his companies, Engr. Kayode Ojo is a shareholder in Pioneering indigenous petroleum exploration production companies such as Seplat Petroleum Nigeria Limited and Platform Petroleum Nigeria Limited as well as Midwestern Oil and Gas Limited, a company he his processing divestment ongoing

Apart from Engr. Kayode Ojo’s career, he has been a lover of Ekiti State, even though he resides in Lagos with numerous trips locally and globally, which has taken him to more than 50 countries around the world and over 30 States within the country. He visits Ekiti regularly to associate with his father High Chief (Dr) J A Ojo and the generally, Ekiti people, especially, friends and family.

Kayode Ojo has participated actively in various Ekiti day’s celebrations and activities around the state making cash and materials donations.

Kayode Ojo believes in a financially independent Ekiti state, in which human capital development is the key to developing a prosperous and egalitarian Ekiti State.

He has employed and trained numerous Ekiti State indigenes and he has, over the years, advised and assisted numerous ones in their various carrier paths, quietly.

Hobbies: Engr. Kayode Ojo loves to watch TV, particularly Channels TV and CNN. He enjoys playing football and as a natural born leader, he is the Life Patron of Corporate Football Club, Lekki Lagos (CFC). He is a notable philanthropist, genuine family man, and ardent believer, in one and indivisible, peaceful and prosperous Nigeria, administered and built by Nigerians.
