ELEGY: Adieu, Angel Incarnate – ‘Funmi Ogunmola !! By Monsuru Adeyemo “Socrates”.

Honourable Jacob ‘Funmi Ogunmola! Return If Possible(RIP). Severally, I’ve, joyfully, eulogized you and your good deeds, when you were alive. Today, I’m saddened, to, sorrowfully, elegize you and your transition into celestial city.

“Tribute to the Conspicuous Philanthropist, Hon. Jacob Funmi Ogunmola, Return If Possible (RIP).”Odaso Fun Eniyan Daso Fun Egungun. Labuje, Bu Danun”.

“When many have chosen the paths of typical malefactors, you remained an unalloyed benefactor to all members of human race, when you’re alive, irrespective of their creed or colour.

“In this era when mother earth is populated by misanthropists who rejoice over their psychopathic dispositions, you’re a proven and notable giver that had bettered lives of many, regardless of their religion or region.

“Indeed, mother earth has lost a gold among special metals, and an angel incarnate to the celestial city which he truly belongs.

“JFO! Harsh constraint and sad occurrence of your death compels me and many others to cry like a day old baby stung by a ‘merciless’ hornet. For Ogunmola is dead, death has taken away one of the brightest stars of Oyo-State.

“Return If Possible! Who, if I cried out, would hear me among the Angelic Order? JFO! It’s good to be good. Your good deeds will definitely intercede for you before your Creator. Your were truly beautiful in and out. Surely, sad occasion like this threaten us to feel as if good deeds mean nothing, and beauty is nothing but the beginning of terror. Though, that we are still able to bear with solace from God. Meanwhile,”Didun Nin Iranti Olododo”, always.

Oh God of Creation! In the deserts of the heart; Let the healing fountain start. In the mournful prison of this period; Guide us aright as believers of You how to praise.”

“Factually, we hold this as a big loss.
We feel it, when we sorrow most. Meanwhile, we console ourselves with convinction that it’s better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all. May God Almighty give the bereaved family, and us all fortitude to bear this irreparable loss. Adieu, Angel Incarnate – Hon. Jacob ‘Funmi Ogunmola(JFO).

JFO! My fellow Abrahamic faithful, Shallom. Peace be unto you, always, Sir.

“Ina Lilahi Wa Ina Ilaehi Rojihuun.”
