EMPOWERMENTS: Hon Bimbo Adekanmbi Sponsors ‘Skills Acquisition Prog’, Presents Certificates to Beneficiaries(PHOTOS).
Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo-State, and notable Philanthropist, Honourable Abimbola Adekanmbi has sponsored skills acquisition programmes for the selected youth and women in Oyo-State.
After the completion of the programme, former Finance Commissioner, Hon Adekanmbi presented certificates to the beneficiaries, yesterday, November 7, 2022, at De-Ace Hall, Alawada Junction, Yemetu.
While addressing journalists on the sidelines of the event, the former Deputy Chief of Staff (DCOS), Adekanmbi said that,”I’m happy to be here at ‘graduation ceremony and presentation of certificates to all successful trainees. What happened today is part of personal efforts to support our people. The beneficiaries have learnt various trades, over six months, and they’re graduating today. Glory be to God.
Aside this artisanal empowerment, Adekanmbi had previously organised academic support schemes for youths and students, and also series of programmes for tradesmen and tradeswomen.
Mrs Yemisi Adesola,(Fashion trainee from Ibadan North), Ogunleye Abiodun,(GSM repair trainee from Ido LG) and Mrs Tawa Taiwo, (Tie & dye trainee from Ibadan North west), on behalf of other trainees respectively hailed Hon. Adekanmbi and stated that,”The entire beneficiaries of Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi Comprehensive Skill Acquisition program wish to use this medium to appreciate our kind hearted leader and masses’ helper, Hon. Bimbo Adekanmbi for a befitting graduation ceremony and presentation of well recognized certificate for us 07/11/2022 .
“Over 500 of us from nine local government areas of Oyo South Senatorial District was trained for six months in eight different vocations, namely, fashion designing , hairdressing, make up & gele tying, tie & dye, chemical mixture, electrical installation, GSM repair and pastry & cake making. The training has really improved our well being and we are supplicating to Almighty God to continue to elevate him in all spheres of life . We wholeheartedly pledge to be your foot soldiers any where . We say a big thank you sir.” They submitted.” They submitted.
