Ex-Oyo Finance Commissioner,”ADEKANMBI” Bags Aj’orosun Club’s “Award of Exemplary Service”.
Honourable Abimbola Adekanmbi on Saturday, June 25 was honoured by the Prestigious Socio-Cultural Organisation, Aj’orosun Club with the Award of Exemplary Service.
The former Commissioner for Finance and Oyo South Senatorial Aspirant was recognised for his good deeds and exemplary service to humanity.
Recall that the former Deputy Chief of Staff(DCOS), Adekanmbi was the first to support UCH with 1 Million Naira during COVID-19 pandemic. He distributed sanitizer in all the major markets within the state. He gave palliatives to over 10,000 people during the ravaging pandemic in 2020 and 2021.
For more than a decade, the internationally trained Forensic Accountant, Adekanmbi has actively kept in touch with youth fold. He gave bursary awards to indigent but brilliant students in tertiary institutions. He ensured sponsorship/scholarship for 100 students in Technical University, Ibadan. He has organised series of “Skill Acquisition Programmes for thousands of youths in Ibadan and Ibarapa among several others.
In all his pro-people programmes, the illustrious Son of Ibadan Land, Adekanmbi has never taken the affairs of womenfolk, welfare of the aged and among others with levity hand.
“Obviously, the Award of Exemplary Service given to him by the Aj’orosun Club, Ibadan is a well deserved award”, His Aide, Adewale Aponmade testified.
