Financial Expert, David Ogunwale Hails New Oyo CP, Urges Support for Effective Policing
David Ogunwale, a seasoned financial expert and progressive thinker, has congratulated Mr. Ayodele Sonubi, the new commissioner of police in Oyo State, over his appointment.
Recall Mr. Sonubi was, until his appointment as Commissioner of Police, in Charge of the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Iyaganku, Oyo State Police Command, as the Deputy Commissioner of Police and succeeded the former CP, Mr Adebola Hamzat.
Ogunwale saluted all the good materials and seasoned officers of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). “Behind a successful helmsmen, there must be loyal lieutenants and committed footsoldiers, so, on this pedestal, I dearly greet SP Ayodeji Olusola (OC Political) and all good eggs in the Nigeria Police Force (NPF). Indeed, you’re doing well, and I prayed that God almighty will always strengthen you and protect you all.
While hailing the new police chief, Ogunwale further maintained that “Mr. Sonubi is a highly skilled and experienced police boss who ensured quality policing, accessible leadership, and a peaceful environment in his previous positions in the force.
Ogunwale stated that Sonubi is capable and competent to sustain the NPF’s mandatory responsibilities of protecting lives and property without prejudice to race, religion, orientation, or association.
Ogunwale urged people’s support for the new CP. “Let’s all join hands together to support Mr. Ayodele Sonubi. He’s a competent and integrous police boss. Let’s all join hands together with him to bring to book any person or people who act in ways that are inimical to the progress of our state or which threaten the existing relative peace in Oyo State.
Ogunwale lauded Sonubi,”Sir, I salute you for rejigging and putting the modalities in place to further secure the state. Thank you for strengthening Oyo State Police Command’s security architecture to accommodate more actionable tools to clampdown on criminal elements through the adoption of a 5-step action plan tagged “RACAI”; Robust Inter-Agency Collaborations with NPF’s sister services.
“Also, thank you for ‘Amplified Community Policing Engagements’. Capacity-building for police officers through training and retraining. Advanced Intelligence & Technology-Driven Policing & Increasing layers of supervision for NPF’s officers & men. Increased visibility policing. Improved response time to distress management.
