Foluke Daramola, Others Solicit Help for Ailing Nollywood Actress, Iyabo Oko.
Nollywood actress, Foluke Daramola and her colleagues have called on Nigerians to come to the aid of one of the veteran Nollywood actresses, Iyabo Odukanmi, popularly known as “Iyabo Oko”, newspeakonline.com reported.
Daramola, who posted the picture of the ailing actress on her Instagram page, said they have tried all they could to no avail.
Iyabo Oko has been ill and receiving treatments for the past five years, but her health is not improving.
Daramola, who is the founder of Passion Against Rape and Abuse (PARA), the foundation she uses to help people, including her colleagues in the movie industry, explained that her foundation, Iyabo Oko’s children, family members and friends have spent a lot of money to bring the ailing actress back to her feet, after flying her abroad for proper treatments.
Daramola further said after the veteran actress received treatments abroad, her health improved and was flown back to Nigeria. She, however, added that the ailment relapsed few months ago,noting that it was now more severe than before.
Another Nollywood actress,Toyin Adegbola, popularly known as ‘Ajoke asewo tore Mecca,’ has also pleaded with Nigerians on her Instagram page to rise up to Iyabo Oko’s help, over her deteriorating health.
She, like Daramola, prayerfully asked that fans and lovers of Nollywood actors and actresses, and all other Nigerians pray and support the actress financially to get her back on her feet.
