Football : You Must Be Agents of Positive Change – Bayo Adelabu Charges Youth
The Governorship Candidate of All Progressive Congress of Oyo state in 2019 General Election, Chief Adebayo Adelabu has charged youths to be agents of positive change towards building a prosperous nation.
Chief Adelabu stated this in a final football competition between FMG Academy and Elite FC held at Pioneer Sports & Leisure Club, Jericho Ibadan.
According to a release by one of his media aides, Comrade Femi Awogboro, Chief Bayo Adelabu was the special guest of honour at the final football competition.
Chief Adelabu described football as one of the tools of uniting the nation irrespective of cultural inclination, political affiliation or religious adherence, so, governments at all levels need to pay adequate attention to the round leather game for the youth development.
“No Nation can develop either politically or economically without engaging youths productively. Therefore the task of building the nation is a collective responsibility of all and sundry” Adelabu stated .
The Former Central Bank of Nigeria(CBN) Deputy Governor and Parakoyi Olubadan of Ibadan land promised his continuous support for youth development and sporting activities in Oyo state.
The event had in attendance Ex Internationals including Dimeji Lawal, Ayodele Adeleye, Oladele Ajiboye, 3sc Goal keeper Dande, among others.
