“G-Wagon’s Report”: A Futile Attempt to Tarnish Adelabu’s Towering Image – Says Awogboro.
The attention of Chief Adebayo Adelabu has been drawn to the malicious report by a faceless online media outfit over a purported gift of G-Wagon by him to the National Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Iyiola Omisore.
According to Comrade Femi Awogboro, the Media Aide to Chief Adelabu,”the report was nothing but a failed attempt to tarnish the image of my principal, who recently defected from All Progressives Congress to Accord Party.
“Chief Adebayo Adelabu did not promise anybody or give anyone G-Wagon car as gift, talkless of collecting it back. Story like this should not be given serious attention but it’s understandable that we are in political period where unscrupulous politicians always look for avenue to tarnish the image of their opponents”, Awogboro stated.
“Let me categorically tell you that Chief Adebayo Adelabu has a record of high ethical standards and will not engage in unnecessary gratification to secure favour. He believes so much in a level playing ground for all contestants in a democracy and won’t chase any officer, high or low to manipulate a process in his favour at the detriment of others. With his over 25 years in the financial world, in both the private and public sectors, he was never found wanting in any case that involves bribery, corruption or outright fraud. His involvement in politics after voluntary resignation from the Apex bank was borne out of love for good governance and people’s interest. His style of politics is never Do or Die. Therefore, he will not fight for an elective position at all cost. He’s therefore less concerned about the malicious report but focuses more on spreading the tentacles of Accord Party in all the 33 local governments in Oyo state ahead of the 2023 Election”, Awogboro further stated.
Awogboro also confirmed that Chief Adebayo Adelabu has cordial relationship with Senator Iyiola Omisore and likewise other Political Chieftains in the Southwest and Nigeria at large.Therefore there’s no iota of truth in that fabricated publication by the hungry writer and should be ignored.
