“Dad, I find it hard to believe that you had gone not until u were laid to rest today. So it was true. What a world! I’m still in shock since the news of your demise was announced. However, I take solace in the fact that you lived a fulfilled life. You came, you saw and you conquered.
Dad, you were a father and leader everybody would be proud to work with. I’d learnt a lot under your tutelage as a father, leader and mentor. You abhorred laziness, dishonest and lackadaisical attitude towards work.
You were a compassionate father and have genuine love for every individual without discrimination. What else can I say than to say thank you for the love you have shown to me while in office as the Governor and even after your exit from office.
Lastly, I will forever remember the words of encouragement you offered me the last time we were together at your Oluyole residence.
Adieu my father, leader, mentor and builder of modern Oyo State. You will forever live in my heart. May God Almighty forgive your shortcomings and grant you eternal rest.
May He console our mother, Mrs Florence Ajimobi, her children, the entire family and the APC family and grant us the fortitude to bear the great loss. Amen. Good night Sir!
