Oyo Progressive Agenda – 2023 has congratulated former Aide to late Governor Ajimobi, Chief Olufemi Durodola over his installation as “Agoro Of Okaka Land” on Tuesday, by Olokaka of Okaka, Oba Abdul-Azeez Olatunji Ayoola in the Royal Father’s palace, in Okaka, Itesiwaju Local Government Area of Oyo-State.
According to news release issued by the group and made available to the newsmen by Hon. Olaide Adegbite;”We congratulate Chief Olufemi Durodola, a former Aide to the Governor of Oyo-State, Senator Abiola Ajimobi, on the conferment of chieftaincy title of ‘AGORO OF OKAKA LAND’ which is the second most powerful title – next to the King of the town itself.
“The conferment was done by Okaka-in-council led by the Olokaka of Okaka land, Oba Abdul-Azeez Olatunji Ayoola, on Tuesday March 29, 2022.
“Chief Olufemi Durodola has earned this title among other contenders through hard work, dedication, commitment and continuous contribution to the development of the community.
“We pay homage to you our dear friend and brother. We salute your loyalty, servant leadership spirit and high sense of duty without seeking immediate reward. Far from being Machiavellian, you are a true utilitarian to the core. Durodola was installed. The ceremonial coronation of the prestigious tittle is forthcoming and well wishers of the tribal aristocrat, Durodola will be invited.
The race of who occupies the chieftaincy tittle was highly competitive among, at least, five suitors but Hon. Durodola was later favoured and chosen based on merits and due to his track records and laudable achievements. He has always been there for his people.
