Guber Polls: NANS ZONE D Backs Folarin.

The student community under the auspices of National Association of Nigerian Student, Southwest(NANS Zone-D) has officially declared her support for the candidate of the All Progressives Congress(APC) in Oyo state, ahead of the Saturday gubernatorial election.
Speaking at an event in Ibadan, NANS Zone D Coordinator, Comrade Tegbe Steven faulted the present administration on several failed promises made to the entire students in the state by Governor Seyi Makinde in 2019. He said the governor has failed in disbursement of bursaries to support students. He knocked Makinde on introduction of consultants at various institutions which the students are at the receiving end.”Security is in shambles, wasted resources, lack of local government administration amongst others.” He lamented.
The event featured the presence of all SUG presidents from acros various institutions in Oyo state and her teeming students populace amid fanfare.
In his remarks to the students, Barrister Adebayo Shittu, former Minister of Communication said Seyi Makinde became governor as a result of frustration from APC members then in 2019. “Unfortunately, he lacks the ability to sustain the relationship that made him who he is today. This has made many to abandon him. Give him no support again, he will honour no agreement. Reject him. Reject Makinde and vote Teslim Folarin.
Also present at the event is Oyo APC party Chairman, Hon. Isaac Omodewu. He encouraged students to come out, vote enmass and remain calm for their votes to be counted.”No one should fight as they have planned to disrupt the process when they discovered they are losing”,He stated.
The Director General of the state Campain Council Council, Dr Isiaka Kolawole in his address appreciated the students for their overwhelming support. Kolawole said “Teslim Folarin being a third term senator till date and one time senate leader; the highest legislative position ever held in Oyo state, is better prepared to paddle the ship of Oyo state affairs to a safe haven.
Kolawole enjoined students to vote for Sen. Folarin and all APC candidates. He charged students to protect their votes until their preferred candidate, Folarin is declared.
Giving the closing address, Barr. Yemi Aderibigbe appreciated the entire student structures for the show of love and sincere endorsement of senator Teslim Folarin for Governor. He promised that their needs will be met in the coming administration.
