Happy Int’l Labour Day – Guber Hopeful, Barr Akeem Agbaje Celebrates ‘May Day’, Greets Oyo-State Workers.

A leading Gubernatorial Aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress(APC), in Oyo State, come 2023, Barrister Akeem Agbaje has paid glowing tributes to Nigerian workers on the occasion of this year Workers’ Day celebration, popularly known as ‘May Day’.

“All wealth is the result of hard work. I Wish everyone have a happy and profitable ‘May Day’ with their loved ones! Happy International Workers’ Day”, Agbaje greeted.

“A single machine can perform the tasks of fifty ordinary individuals. No computer can do the labour of a single exceptional individual….Workers are a nation’s invisible backbone, as it is only because of them that the nation can stand strong”, he hailed. 

Agbaje saluted all Nigerian workers for their sacrifice and resilience , noting that workers, across the nation, form the central bedrocks on which the building blocks of Nigeria’s national development are laid.

Akeem Agbaje, whose one of the focal points of his mandate is improved workers’ welfare, reiterated his commitment to ensuring that Nigerian workers’ well being is prioritized at every stratum of the government, in the country.

The renowned lawyer, Barr. Agbaje wished all Nigerian workers a blissful and successful ‘Labour Day’ celebration.

Annually, on May 1, world celebrates International Labour Day which is also known as International Workers’ Day. The day is marked to raise public awareness about workers’ rights as well as to recognise their accomplishments. On this day, Nigeria, like several other countries, observes a national holiday

Barrister Akeem Agbaje, a legal luminary and illustrious son of Ibadan land, hailed from a family of many firsts; Late Dr. Anthony Saka Agbaje, the first medical doctor of Ibadan origin, Late Chief Abdul Mojeed Folarin Agbaje, the first lawyer of Ibadan Origin; and Late Hon. Justice Abdul Ganiyu Agbaje JSC, the first Justice of the Supreme Court of Nigeria of Ibadan origin.

Barr. Akeem is a progeny of the Legendary Agbaje Salami L’Ayeye. The Great Agbaje Salami was an earlier Ibadan billionaire, first generation Nigerian politician, influential statesman and notable philanthropist who had immensely contributed his own quota to the sociocultural, socioreligious and sociopolitical advancements and progress of Ibadan Land and its environs.
