Hijrah 1445: Dr Abioye Greets Muslims, Prays for Nigerian Leaders
Dr Moshood Abioye, a renowned international scholar, hailed from Akinyele Local Government Area of Oyo-State has greeted the Muslim faithful on the commencement and celebration of Hijri Islamic New Year-2023.
The youthful philanthropist, Abioye while congratulating the faithful, urged Nigerians to reflect on the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad’s migration from Mecca to Medina which are sacrifice, perseverance, resilience, piety among others.
The educational magnate, Dr Abioye encouraged all Muslims to use this new Muharram festive period to pray for the peace, progress and stability of Oyo-State and Nigeria, at large.“I urge all Muslim faithful and Nigerians, generally, to continue to foster love, peace and unity among each other.
”Let’s all shun all acts that are capable of undermining the oneness, unity and progress of Nigeria. Let’s see ourselves as brothers and sisters that have common destiny as we are all members of human race”, Abioye charged.
“To all our Muslim brothers and sisters in Oyo-State and Nigeria at large, as the Muharram comes again, I’m sending you all my love and prayers. May Allah protect you from every trouble. – Happy Islamic New Year 2023!“. He added.
Dr Abioye used the avenue to pray for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and all Nigerian leaders for God’s guidance and protection.
In the Islamic tradition, Hijrah, (Arabic: “Migration” or “Emigration”) also spelled Hejira or Hijra, Latin Hegira, refers to the Prophet Muhammad’s migration (622 ce) from Mecca to Yathrib (Medina).
